The Department of Radiology functions as a competence and reference center for diagnostic and interventional radiology, nuclear medicine (in vivo and in vitro), radiation protection and radiobiology along with the associated quality assurance. As part of University Hospital Graz, it is responsible for providing care in Styria and southern Austria.
Our department engages in innovative and interdisciplinary research at an international level. All areas of our discipline have a special research focus. We cover the entire spectrum of university research—from fundamentals to applied research. This is how we guarantee that our patients receive treatment according to the latest scientific findings.
As a department, we are also active in practice-oriented teaching and training for students and postgraduates. Our highly qualified staff members pass on their knowledge and the latest scientific findings to students and trainees.
